Welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed winter break. I can’t believe this is already the first week of March. I am very excited for warmer weather and springtime fun!
This week is Read Across America Week and we will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Wednesday, March 2nd. We have a fun themed week planned for the kids which includes special dress up days, Dr. Seuss books and crafts. A schedule for the week is listed below.
We will finish our lesson on Presidents that we started before break. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and we will visit Chapel to learn about Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. We will be reading One Fish, Two Fish, Fox in Socks, Hop on Pop, Ten Apples Up on Top, and our Scholastic My Big Day reader will be about March titled Do You Hear The Weather.

February 28 – Return to School
February 28 – Celebrate Reading Week: One Fish, Two Fish: Wear something red and/or blue
March 2 – Celebrate Reading Week: Wacky Wednesday: Wear your clothes backwards, mismatched, etc.
March 4 – Celebrate Reading Week: Hop on Pop: Wear pajamas or comfy clothes and enjoy popcorn while we celebrate.
March 16 – ECC Green Day (ECC3 wears green)
March 18 – No School for ECC (Professional Development Day for teachers)
