Reading: We are reading the book Frindle by Andrew Clements. It’s a great story of the power of words and how one persons actions can make change. Vocabulary and comprehension test Tuesday, 10/15.
Bible: Verse test Wed. Hebrews 13:5b. We will be reading stories of friendship and talking about God’s attributes
In church Sunday, my Pastor spoke about the verses found in 1 Timothy, Ch. 2, verses 1-6.
From what I grasped, these verses tell us to pray for those in authority and that when we do so, it pleases God. Pastor stressed the idea that we should pray even if we don’t agree with where the person stands on a certain topic. I have been thinking about this and wonder what a different country America would be if everyone did pray for the leaders of our great land. I encourage you to take time this week and pray for the men and women who make important decisions in all parts of our governments. Pray their hearts would be lead by God and they would seek Him and His will…… We are truly blessed to live in this wonderful country.
