Week 21

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank

This month we are focusing on Black History. Each day we focus on someone who has made a significant contribution.  Last week, we learned about Frederick Douglas, Bessie Coleman, Billie Holiday, and Booker T. Washington. This week, we are going to be learning about Barack Obama, Garrett Morgan, George Washington Carver, Harriett Tubman, and Jackie Robinson. Additionally, the children have been creating in class reports on famous Black people who interest them.
