I cannot believe that we are halfway through January already! We have a busy week ahead learning many new things.
This week we will be focusing on the following topics:
ELA- This week we are completing lesson 12 from the Journeys curriculum. We will continue to read from our read-aloud The Holiday Concert by Andrew Clements. Our skill for the week is problem and solution. The grammar is possessive nouns. We will be working on problem-solution opinion writing this week. There will be a spelling and grammar quiz on Friday.
Math- This week we will continue with Chapter 6, Fractions. As always, reteach pages will be posted on google classroom for additional practice. Please continue to work on fact fluency at home.
Social Studies- This week we will continue Chapter 3 from our S.S. textbook.
Science– This week we will begin our new unit of study: The Human Machine. We will be making a model of a finger, and learning about x-rays.
Religion- This week in religion we will be focusing on the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:8-10)
Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points, and I am looking forward to an amazing week learning with an amazing class.
Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Ephesians 5: 8b-10
