A very happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Here are the updates for this short week.
6th Religion
This week the students are working on designing a monument to honor God. This will tie in with our lesson on Joshua building a monument to honor God in the Old Testament.
6th Social Studies
The students will be reviewing for their test on Topic 3: Egypt and Kush. The test will be on Tuesday, November 30th. You may view the review sheet here. There is also a copy posted on the Google Classroom.
7th Social Studies
This week the students will learn about the early days of the American Revolution- the taxes levied by Britain, the colonists’ protests, and the early battles of the war.
8th Religion
The students will be learning about the spy mission into Canaan, which will talk about the rewards for trusting God, and the consequences when we think we know better than God.
8th Social Studies
For the last week or so, the students have learned all about the westward movement following the Civil War. This week they will learn about how all of this migration affected the Native Americans who lived out west, and how it still continues to impact their lives today.
