I Count My Blessings
I count my blessings one by one.
It’s what I ought to do.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day,
I know I have a few….
I find a pen, some paper too
and start with number one.
I think of family, friends and health,
my list has just begun.
My home,
the warmth of a cozy bed,
my memories and all life’s fun…
I add the air, the trees, our Earth, all beauty under the sun…
Forgive me though, for as I pause,
I think about my list…
and wonder who
should be thanked first
and certainly not missed
So at the top
I write one word
and now it is complete.
My list of blessings start with God
who’s made my life so sweet.

Handwriting/Manuscript
Basic strokes will be reviewed as we write manuscript letters Mm, Hh, Vv, Yy
We are taking the time to write our letters the correct size. Are they midline letters or headline letters? Be sure capital letters are taller than (most) lowercase letters.
Keys to legibility are size, shape, spacing and slant! Handwriting is important and strengthens our fine motor skills! Neatness counts!
We are getting closer to cursive!
Religion
Old and New Testament Books of the Bible
What is prayer? Words to help guide us as we pray include praise, thank, sorry, please . Our “Prayer Leader” will keep these words in mind as he/she leads us in prayer each morning.
Prayer Box project- students continue to add prayers daily if they know of someone who might be in need of a prayer.
Stories: God’s Promise to Abram, Isaac Blesses His Sons, Jacob’s Ladder
We will be attending chapel Wednesday morning
