This week we start a new theme in our Big Day curriculum “Our Community”. We will read Lola at the Library, Knuffle Bunny, A Good Night Walk, and Mama Zooms. Our vocabulary words are: building, community, firehouse, hospital, library, and park. We will also make a map of Lola’s walk to the library.

Our math topic this week is “How do you get there?” We will learn directional words including: above, near, next to, location, route, and through. We will also learn #9 and the color grey.

Religion this week will be about Hannah. Hannah went to the church everyday and prayed for a son. The story reminds us to be thankful for church and prayer. We will also practice singing our thankful songs.

Our letter for this week is Gg. We will read the story “Goofy Ghost” and learn a silly Gg song. We will also make a G is for Grass craft.

This week we will tie the color grey into learning about squirrels. We will read the book Squirrels all Year Long and make a squirrel craft. We will also read a Weekly Reader about squirrels.

This Thursday is Veteran’s Day and school is closed. On Wednesday we will learn about the meaning of Veteran’s Day with a Weekly Reader about Veterans and we will make a camouflage heart project.

On Tuesday we will have art with Mrs. Kerwin and finish our turkey projects.

On Wednesday we will have gym with Mr. Mallon.

Have a beautiful, blessed week everyone!
