Hello Parents! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a bit chilly but at least the sun was shining! Please remember to continue filling out the daily attestations upon arrival. With the changing weather, please pack your child accordingly as we will continue to go outside.

Important Reminder: There will be no school on Thursday 11/11/21 due to Veterans Day!

We are starting theme 3 titled “Our Community” and unit 1 titled “Places We Go”. BIG Idea: Children learn about the role of the community in their lives and the importance of good citizenship. Social-Emotional Focus: Responsibility. The theme vocabulary words include: apartments, block, building, community, firehouse, hospital, library, neighborhood, park and sidewalk. Math vocabulary words include: above, location, near, next to, route and through.

We will be learning the letter Gg, color gray, number 9 and shape review. We will be reading the books “Lola at the Library”, “Knuffle Bunny”, “A Goodnight Walk” and “Mama Zooms”.

We will continue talking about all things leaves. The extra leaves we collected from our nature walk last week, we will use in our sensory bins with acorns and have to use tweezers to pick them up. This will allow us to practice our fine motor skills. We will create a G is for grass craft for our ABC book, create a Veterans day craft and lastly, create our own community as a class!

For Jesus time, we will continue to sing the song “Jesus Loves Me” and begin singing a new song for Thanksgiving called “Thank Him” which we thank God for all he has done for us. We will also be reciting a new prayer for the month of November. Lastly, Mrs. Gonzalez will teach the children about Hannah “Thank you for church”.
