- Spirit week goes as followed: Monday – Pajama Day, Tuesday – Crazy hair/mismatch Day, Wednesday – Red Day, Thursday – Disney Day, and Friday – Orange Day (Please NO costumes!)
- Friday is our Orange Party!
We are continuing with the theme “My Family” and starting unit 3 titled “Family Fun”. BIG Idea: I share special times with my family. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about family members, family roles, and the unique qualities of families. Social-Emotional Focus: Kindness. The theme vocabulary words include: celebrate, holiday, relatives, thankful and together. Math vocabulary words include: fewer, greater, less and more.
We will be learning the letter Ee, color orange, oval and number 7. We will be reading the books “Celebrations!”, “What Mommies Do Best”, “What Daddies Do Best” and “Feast for 10”.
We will continue talking about pumpkins this week. We will take a deeper look at one of our pumpkins in the classroom using our 5 senses. Will will also be talking about Solids, Liquids and Gases. We will take a deeper look using our sensory bins with some spooky Halloween creatures! More crafts will be displayed on our ClassDojo.
For Jesus time, we will continue to sing the song “Jesus Loves Me” and discuss the story of Jacob takes care of Joseph. We will continue to recite our snack/lunch time prayer.
