Happy October!

We are off to a fantastic start of the school year!

This week we will be focusing on the following topics:

ELA- This week in ELA we will be focusing on developing our writing skills, as well as finishing our class read aloud Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate Dicamillo. There will be no spelling or vocabulary test on Friday. Reading logs begin this week, and will be completed on Google Classroom.Students are asked to read for at least 15 minutes per night and answer one question per night. This is to be completed using Kami.

Math- This week we continue chapter 2, focusing on Multiplication. Please be sure to practice fact fluency at home, Xtra math is a wonderful resource that can be accessed at home as well as in school. Additional practice can be found on Google Classroom with completed examples under the Math topic.

Social Studies- This week in S.S. we will finish our 1st chapter. There will be a S.S. test on Friday, a Review sheet will be going home on Tuesday, and can also be found in Google Classroom.

Science- We will continue our first unit of science, Waves of Sound, learning about how sound waves travel.

Religion- This week in religion we begin to talk about sin as we explore Genesis chapter 3.

Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points. I am looking forward to a fabulous year with this group of fantastic fourth graders.
