Hello Parents! I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.
We will continue to review the alphabet, numbers, ten frames and our sight words. The sight words for this week are “is” and “in”. Continuing with the theme for April, Nature All Around Us, this week’s topic is “Our Weather” with the big idea being that the weather affects what I wear and do each day. The vocabulary words we will learn this week are: weather, clouds, cloudy, rainy, sunny, and windy. We will read the books “What Will the Weather be Like Today” and “Weather.” For math we will learn the words measure, temperature and thermometer.
Arbor Day is on Friday, April 30, 2021 and along with the celebration of nature, we will talk about the importance of planting trees and go on a walk to enjoy the trees in our neighborhood. This week’s Scholastic Weekly Reader, titled “I Spy a Butterfly” will review everything we’ve learned about our butterfly’s transformation as we get ready to release our butterflies into the world. We will also read a Scholastic Weekly Reader titled “A Big Day for Ducklings.” For Jesus time, we will talk about Timothy.
