Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:
Spelling- The new words for this week are: look, book, good, hook, brook, took, foot, shook, wood, hood, together, again. The children will write their spelling words 3x each and write 8 sentences by Thursday. Use at least 5 words in each sentence. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- oo words
Language Arts- possessive nouns
Reading: We will read the story Whistle for Willie. The children will read the story again at home. There will be a Reading test on Friday. The children should know all of the “R” book words for the vocabulary portion of the reading test.
Math- chapter 11- 3D shapes
Social Studies- Goods; trade; factories
Weekly Reader- Recycling
1AA News
Please remember to check your child’s homework every evening, making sure it is complete and done correctly, then sign or initial each page, (including the “S” book)! Encourage your child to complete all work in their neatest handwriting.
Some of the children are in need of new crayons and glue sticks for this last trimester of school. Please check with your child.
Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday at noon!
