Last week, we enjoyed completing a unit of study on the rainforest.  It was fun to learn more about the plants, animals and culture of the people who live in the rainforest.

This week we will study Irish culture.  Ireland is also in a rainforest zone – a temperate rainforest that is.  Ireland also receives a lot of rain which makes it very green.  We will explore the culture of Ireland through stories, songs, cultural epitaphs and more.  We will use these themes to count, create art and we will even have a STEAM project – designing a leprechaun trap!  We will continue recording the growth of our sprouting potatoes and we will plant seeds in a mini greenhouse that we can plant in spring gardens.  On Wednesday, we will have a special St Patrick’s Day snack.  A big, “Thank you,” to everyone who volunteered to donate items to our party.

Just a quick reminder that our preschool Mini Olympics gym show will be held via zoom on Friday, March 26.  All nursery students are encouraged to attend school that day.
