Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! I cannot believe that we are already in March, and by the grace of God, it looks like we will have a better March than last year. That being said, here are the updates for my classes this week.

6th Religion

Last week the students worked on a lesson on the construction of Solomon’s temple in Jerusalem. This week, they will get to create their own temple. The students will work on this in class, and they will have the option to draw a diagram/floor plan, or create a 3D diorama. On Friday, they will present their designs to the class. Remote students need to send photos of their designs to my email.

6th Social Studies

On Monday, we will conclude our first brief chapter on Ancient Greece. The students will then start reviewing for their test on Friday, March 5th. You may view the chapter 8 study guide here.

7th Social Studies

Last week, the students presented their projects on African American men and women of the Revolutionary War era, and they did a wonderful job! Each group learned a significant amount of information about the individuals, but also took away inspiration from their lives. This week we are covering how our nation’s government was formed, starting with the Articles of Confederation, and then finally moving on to our current Constitution and Bill of Rights.

8th Religion

On Friday, the students completed the final lesson of Unit 3, so this week they will be reviewing. The test will be on Friday, and you may view the study guide here.

8th Social Studies

This week we are continuing to study World War I. The students will learn about how the U.S. mobilized for war, and how our troops helped break the stalemate. We will also do a study of the propaganda used to promote the war effort, as well as the process of how to analyze such documents.
