The 4th grade class had a fun Spirit Week.  Thanks to Mrs. Lanier and Mrs. Yee for coordinating our Fall Party for students in all locations!   REMOTE LEARNERS: You can email me any questions, comments, or concerns you have about 4th grade.  I am always interested in what you have to say! IN PERSON LEARNERS: Proper mask wearing is ESSENTIAL, masks must cover your nose at all times!  Check Google Classroom for missing work at least once per week!

WEEK: November 2-6

SPELLING/VOCABULARY:  attractive, burden, consent, dependable, indicate, previous, quality, response, shabby, thaw, urgent, vanity

READING:  “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing”; Storyworks play, “Let Us Vote”

GRAMMAR: past, present, and future progressive verbs

WRITING: Opinion writing, Should kids be allowed to vote?

MATH: Multiplying wit area models and partial products

SOCIAL STUDIES: Chapter 3, Lesson 3 New York Becomes and English Colony

SCIENCE: Test on Birth of Rocks Unit

RELIGION:  Daily devotions; Cain and Abel story

TESTS THIS WEEK:

  • Wednesday – Science Birth of Rocks Unit
  • Friday – Spelling, Reading, Grammar

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Please take note of the school calendar.  Days off are November 11th for Veteran’s Day and November 19th for Parent Teacher Conferences.  The conferences will be held via Zoom.  Our Thanksgiving recess is November 26/27.
