Math 6

This week we are starting a new chapter on finding the greatest common factor and least common multiple of different numbers.  This will lead us to solving greatest common factor (GCF) and least common multiple (LCM) word problems.  There are no tests or quizzes this week.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 7

This week we are reviewing how to multiply and divide rational numbers.  We will have a quiz on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational numbers on Thursday, 10/8.  We will start using our calculators this week, so please make sure you have yours.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra)

This week we are starting a new chapter on exponents and scientific notation.  This week we will be converting numbers from scientific notation to standard form.  The quiz on writing numbers from standard form to scientific notation and vice versa will be on Wednesday, 10/7.  Please use the review sheet that we will complete together in class on Tuesday, to guide your studying.  Later in the week, we will be learning how to multiple, divide, add and subtract numbers in scientific notation.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.

Algebra

This week we are continuing with Chapter 3.  This week our focus will be on solving compound inequalities, absolute value equations, and absolute value inequalities.  We will have a quiz on the above mentioned topics on Friday, 10/9.  When needed, extra help sessions are by appointment through Zoom.
