This week in computer class we will be going over online safety. I believe that students should be aware of safe computer usage and know of some of the dangers that are there. Some of the topics we cover include: chat room safety, online friends, creating usernames, use of personal information, password security, and a special emphasis is put on telling an adult when something doesn’t seem right.
To help facilitate good dialogue I am using “BrainPop” which is a fantastic online website full of great education videos and resources. Trinity has a subscription to this great site, so if you would like more information please let me know and I will let you know how to sign on.
