This week we will be doing activities that will help us answer the following questions:
Kindergarten – 2nd grade
- Can I strike a balloon or ball and make an effort to volley it to myself or a partner?
- Can I strike a balloon so that it goes straight up?
- Can I strike a balloon with an open palm so that it goes up?
- Can I volley a balloon up and make consecutive hits?
3rd grade – 5th grade
- Can I combine dribbling, passing, and catch with locomotor skills to participate in basketball activities?
- Can I dribble while traveling in general space?
- Can I dribble with control of the ball and my body while changing speed and direction?
- Can I combine dribbling with other skills during practice drills?
Middle School
- Can I work hard to improve my basketball skills while using positive words and actions to encourage all of my classmates to participate with me?
- Can I demonstrate personal responsibility by following the rules and etiquette for basketball in physical education class?
- Can I demonstrate responsibility and respect by including all classmates and using positive and supporting language?
- Can I work with my teammates to self-officiate game play and resolve disputes in a positive way?
7th Grade Health
- How do peers influence our day to day decisions?
- How can common injuries be prevented?
- How does the media influence our daily decisions?
