These are just the highlights of our week, as our day of learning together consists of so much more!

A big thank you to Mr. Stair who came in this past Friday as a Mystery Reader to read a super book to us! Your visit gave us many smiles and we really enjoyed the time together!

Please sign up to be a Mystery Reader if you have not done so already! The following dates are still available:  4/3, 4/24, and all Fridays in May.

Valentine’s Day will soon be here! We are collecting empty tissue boxes to make Valentine’s Day mailboxes! Kindly send one in by the end of the week if you have not done so already. Also, if you have scraps of red/pink wrapping paper/scrapbook paper or ribbon the class could use to embellish their Valentine’s Day mailboxes with, we’d be grateful if you’d send it in for us to share as well. Thank you!

We will celebrate “Red” Day/Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14th with a red snack and exchange valentines to one another. Please refer to the pink note that was sent home on Friday for more details.

As part of a school-wide activity, second graders will be sending out valentines to veterans in hospitals and nursing homes in order to let them know that their sacrifices have not been forgotten!

Please send in new sets of crayons, erasers and pencils to replenish and renew if your child needs these important tools.

Kindly label all sweaters, hats, gloves, etc. with your child’s name.

School shoes are part of the uniform and must be worn every day. Sneakers are kept in school and only worn for gym and recess.

Thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

As National Lutheran Schools Week came to a close, we were left with a renewed sense of gratefulness for being part of Trinity Lutheran School where we can proclaim and share Jesus’ love.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophesies but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

God bless our week ahead.
