Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this lesson are: on, got, fox, pop, not, hop. The new vocabulary (“R” book) words are: her, she, now, today, our, would. The children will write all 12 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday.
Phonics- /o/, blends, -ock words
Language Arts- statements
Reading: The story is “A Musical Day”. The tests for lesson 8 will be given on Friday. Please make sure that your child reads the story at home. The test questions will include asking the order that things happen in the story (before and after). They also have to know who narrates the story.
Math- Finish chapter 3- test Thursday
Religion- Daily devotions and bible stories
Science- Sounds
Social Studies- Book 2- suburb, town, city
Weekly Reader- Veteran’s Day

Thank you to our class moms, Mrs. King and Ms. Theis, and all who contributed to our Pumpkin Party last week. The children had a great time!

School is closed next Monday (11/11) in observance of Veteran’s Day.
Parent/teacher conference will be held on Thursday, 11/14. You will be able to sign up for a conference time online. This is an important conference to discuss your child’s progress.
