Week 9

We have a busy week ahead. First off, it is Spirit Week. Many notices went home indicating what students should wear on each day. Here is a recap.

Monday – Pajamas

Tuesday- Mismatched clothes

Wednesday – Dress your best (Chapel day)

Thursday – Wear Orange

Friday – Play clothes (Field Trip to Sagamore Hill)

On Thursday afternoon, we are having our Fall Party. Thank you to our class moms for setting everything up.

On Friday, Extra Effort Opportunity for favorite athlete is due. The bridge projects were amazing! Also is it our trip to Sagamore Hill. 

 

Math – We have begun multiplication and will be having our first quiz on Wednesday. We are just exploring the concept of multiplication during this first chapter. In the past, I have found that my students have a good understanding with the lessons. If you find something else, please let me know. .

ELA – Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be reading and discussing The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.  I am excited for the children to hear this touching Newbery Award winning story about a gorilla and his friends who live in a shopping mall.

We are taking a break from Mexico and will focus this week on Teddy Roosevelt. 

Religion

This week we are having our last books of the Bible test. It will cover 1 Timothy – Revelation. The books in order are as follows:

Then we will learn about the first table of the law. I will be distributing to the students the Ten Commandments and their meanings, as well as select bible verses to go with each commandment.
