This week we will be doing activities that will help us answer the following questions:

Kindergarten – 2nd grade

  • Can I move and play safely in different ways?
  • Can I catch a bouncing ball?
  • Can I catch a ball that is tossed to me?
  • Can I toss a ball underhand accurately to a partner?

3rd grade – 5th grade

  • What skills and concepts do I need to know in order to take charge of my personal fitness?
  • Can I identify ways to improve my habits to help me become healthier?
  • What opportunities are available in my community for me to be active and improve my health?
  • Can I chart participation in an activity outside of physical education class and analyze my chart to improve my fitness?

Middle School

  • How does regular physical activity lead to a healthy body, and how can I build a physically active lifestyle?
  • What is my goal for improving or maintaining my aerobic and muscular fitness levels?
  • How can I adjust my physical activity routine to improve or maintain my overall fitness?
  • What technology and/or resources do I have access to that can help me monitor my physical activity levels?

7th Grade Health

  • Am I able to identify various problem-solving and decision-making techniques?
  • Can I recognize the role of mind mapping in problem-solving and decision making?
