There will not be a spelling test this week due to the trip for the sixth and seventh graders on Thursday and Friday. Instead, the spelling test will be on Friday, October 18th.
ELA 6th Grade: We are continuing to read the book THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM. Along the way we are discussing relationships between the characters and the setting of the novel which takes place in Flint, Michigan in the 1960s. We will review nouns and pronouns and have a quiz on Wednesday.
ELA 7th Grade: Students in seventh grade are still reading THE WEDNESDAY WARS. We have been breaking down each chapter and discussing the character’s perception of the other characters and how the story relates to the allusion to Shakespeares stories. There will be a nouns and pronoun quiz on Wednesday.
ELA 8th Grade: The eighth graders are reading THE OUTSIDERS. They will study symbolism in the novel and discuss what makes a person a hero.
Religion 7th Grade: We are discussing the Holy Spirit in Unit 2. There will not be a memory quiz this week due to the trip.
