This Week in Art  9/30/19 – 10/3/19

ECC3,4&5 — This week our classes will be gluing on paper lily pads and tissue lilies and painting our frames with gold paint.

Kindergarten — It’s our last day to finish off our Fall Scenes by adding red, yellow and orange tissue crumbles to our trees.

Gr. 1 — This week we’ll finish demonstrating reflection with our Fall Reflection tempera paintings.

Gr. 2 — Our class will learn about the Impressionist painter Claude Monet and begin drawing his beautiful lily pond and bridge.

Gr. 3 — Third graders will learn about the art of V. VanGogh and his impressionist technique and culminate their lesson with a drawing of a vase with flowers.

Gr. 4 — Our class will finish up our beautiful chalk pastel sunset/sunrise landscapes.

Gr. 5 — Fifth graders will learn about the art form Batik and will use glue and watercolor to create an abstract Fall Leaf Faux Batik design.

Gr. 6 — This class is still quite busy coloring in their Falling for Foreshortening drawings.

Gr. 7 — Seventh graders will finish up the details on their Tissue collages this week.

Gr. 8 — We analyzed E. Munch’s famous painting “Scream” and have started to draw similar pictures depicting a phobia.

Elective — We are still constructing our 3-D Cardboard Initials and wrapping them securely with masking tape. Next step is the paper mache.
