WELCOME BACK! I hope you had a great week off.

READING- Our essential question is: “Where do different animals make their homes?” To help us answer the question we will read and discuss the stories, Home for Tiger, Home for Bear, Turtle Splash, and Where Animals Live. Our high frequency words are: now and are and the students will identify the initial “b” sound in words. The class will continue to blend sounds, focusing on the middle sound, read with expression, and learn to answer inference questions, and make story predictions.

MATH-  Chapter 7 teaches the students to represent, count and write numbers 11-19. This week our focus is on numbers  11,12, 13, and 14.

RELIGION- Our Bible story is still Jesus Blesses the Children.

SOCIAL STUDIES- Our focus will be on our first president George Washington.

HANDWRITING- The class will review writing Capital and lower case “O-o,” “A-a,” and “D-d”.
