There will be a spelling test on Unit 8 on Friday, Feb. 1st.
Topics for the research papers are going to be handed out on Monday, Jan. 28th. Students must make their topic choice by Friday, Feb. 1st. Selections are on a first come first serve basis.
Remember January Book projects are due on Wednesday, Feb. 6th.
All grades are previewing or reviewing prepositions this week. This will be much of the homework.
6th Grade: We will be looking at two science fiction stories this week and discuss setting and theme. Students will go over prepositions. As a class we will discuss how to avoid plagiarism.
7th Grade: The seventh graders will read a short story, by Amy Tam from her novel The Joy Luck Club. We will discuss exposition. Students will review plagiarism and how to avoid it.
8th Grade: In eighth grade we will read a Langston Hughes and a Maya Angelou pieces. Students will review the ways to prevent plagiarism.
7th Grade Religion: We are having a unit 4 test on Tuesday, Jan 29th. There will be a memory quiz on Thursday.
