Upcoming ELA assignments this week:
Students summer reading assignments are due this week. The first one is due on Monday, Sept 10, and the next one is due on Friday, Sept. 14.
Students should select a book to read this week for the month of September. Their September Book Project will be due on Tuesday, October 9th. All books must be approved by me and a parent or guardian by the Friday, September 14th. Look for the book approval form to come home with your child. Remember I have book in the classroom the student may borrow.
A Spelling Test for unit 1 in the vocabulary book will be on Friday, Sept 14.
6th Grade: This week students in sixth grade will work on an autobiography in class and at home. They will work on nouns and review reading strategies.
7th Grade: Students in seventh grade will work on a summer narrative in class and at home. They will review nouns and reading strategies.
8th Grade: The eighth grade will be editing their summarizes and reviewing nouns and reading strategies.
7th Grade Religion: The seventh grade religion class will have a memory quiz on Isaiah 44:6 (located in their workbooks on page 9) They will learn about Paul’s Sermon at the Areopagus, God’s covenant with Abraham, and Jeremiah 1.
