Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” John 11:25-26

I hope you all had a blessed Easter holiday. For me it was a time of transition and stress, as we moved my mom into a nursing home. Not an easy thing for my family. Which leads me to say that I am a little behind on grading my research papers. I did make a dent in 8th grade papers. More about the final paper next week. Please make sure your child turned in a March book project and the rough draft. They were due before the break.

There will not be a test for two weeks due to the trip to Washington and Terra Novas.

We will be reading one book for the independent reading. A letter will go home this week.

6th grade: On Monday, we will be prepping for the Terra Novas by studying Inference and other important skills. Students will study subjects and predicates in sentences. Later in the week, we will finish folktales and write our own.

7th Grade: Seventh graders will review for the Terra Novas. We will look at subjects and simple predicates in sentences. As we move forward this week, we will read a modern fairy tale. Students will have the opportunity to write an old favorite and update with modern sensibilities.

8th Grade:
The students in eighth grade will review for the Terra Novas and study subjects and predicates in sentences.
