Math Grade 6
This week we will start module 9 which covers exponents and order of operations (PEMDAS). Extra help is Wednesday mornings at 7:30. There are not any tests or quizzes this week.
Math Grade 7
The students are finishing up on our 3-dimensional geometry unit. Students explored how to calculate surface area and volume. We also explored vertical and horizontal cross sections. The unit test on 3-D geometry is on Tuesday, 3/27. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30.
Pre-Algebra
We are finishing up out unit on two-dimensional geometry. This unit covered translations, reflections, rotations and symmetry, and dilations. We also reviewed the differences between similarity, and congruence. Various angle relationships. (complementary, supplementary, vertical, adjacent, interior, and exterior) were also discussed. There will be unit test on Tuesday, 3/27. Extra help is Wednesday mornings at 7:30.
Algebra
This week we are continuing with our next chapter on Quadratics. Students will explore the axis of symmetry, vertex, finding the roots, and solving quadratics using the zero property. There will be a quiz on the above topics on Tuesday, 3/27.
