Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s Notes
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: so, go, home, hole, no, rope, joke, bone, stove, poke. Since there are now 10 spelling words, I will only be including 4 of the “R” book words on the spelling tests (they are on the spelling list). They will still need to be able to read all of the “R” book words fluently for the vocabulary portion of the reading tests. The children will write their spelling words 3x each by Tuesday. They should write 8 sentences by Wednesday. Spelling test will be on Friday.
Phonics- long o and u
Language Arts- questions; suffixes; narrative writing

We have completed the first of two reading workbooks, which will be sent home. The “R” book words are: around, bring, show, because, carry, think, before, and light. The reading tests will be given on Friday.
