This should be an exciting week! We are learning about how to dress for winter weather. We will explore the science of snowflakes (water crystals) and conduct a science experiment growing sugar crystal snowflakes in our classroom. We will review the letter, “Dd”. Our stories include The Mitten and The Hat by Jan Brett. Music and movement activities include marching to the “Alphabet Train Song”, singing the “Phonics Song”, dancing the “Winter Hokey Pokey” and reciting the fingerplay, “Five Little Snowmen”. We will be riding tricycles during our gym time. If any parents would like their children to wear helmets, please send one in to school with your child’s name on it and we will be sure they wear it.
