It is our first full week, and I hope everyone is beginning to warm up!
Math
We are working on division. We will have our quiz on the first half of Chapter 6 on Friday. We have Rocket Math homework every day in addition to our regular Practice Book homework. Please review Rocket Math papers every day. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.
ELA
We are having our ELA grammar test and spelling test on Thursday, and our comprehension test on Friday. There is no vocabulary test this week..

- Suffixes –less, – ful, -ous
Grammar
- plural nouns – s, -es, consonant -y means to change the -y to -i and add -es, special spellings tooth/teeth, woman/women, child/children, mouse/mice, and the same spelling deer/deer, sheep/sheep.
Spelling: joy, point, voice, join, oil, coin, noise, spoil, toy, joint, boy, soil, choice, boil, come, are, poison, and destroy.
The students are also working on independent reading and routinely reflecting on their reading in their Reading Notebook. Reading Notebooks are due every week.
Science
We are going to begin our unit on life cycles and our inherited traits.
Social Studies
We are learning aobut the history of Canda.
Religion
We are studying why Jesus needs to be the true God. I have also included the link here for Third Grade Memory Work and due dates. Our Wednesday test is on The Fourth Commandment.
