This time of the year is very busy in the Pre-K classrooms. The children have been learning the Christmas songs for our program on Friday, December 16th at 9:30am.  They are singing so nice and having a lot of fun!

Jesus time:  December is all about the birth of Jesus.  This week they learned that Jesus came to earth as a baby in order to save us.  We retold the story of that special night using tube puppets.

Language Arts:  Some stories we read are Is It Christmas by John Prater and Mouse’s First Christmas by Lauren Thompson.  We also did a literature comparison on two different versions of The Night Before Christmas.

Math:  The children are making a Christmas number and shape book.  This will help them review all their colors, numbers, and shapes.

Science:  The weather is changing and the children have been learning about the start of our winter season.  We explored the different ways you can dress for the cold weather.

Art:  Christmas surprises will be coming home soon.

Have a blessed week.
