Math Grade 6
This week we are finishing up our fraction unit. This unit covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions. We will eventually take these skills and apply them to word problems. This week our focus will be reviewing for the test.
Test, Wednesday, 11/16- Fractions – Please use the review sheets are a guide for studying.
Extra help will be on Wednesdays from 7:45-8:15
Math Grade 7
This week we are continuing with Unit 2. This week our focus will be on Module 5. We will be representing percent problems algebraically, as well as percent of increase and decrease application problems involving discounts, tax, and tips.
Quiz Friday, 11/18 – % of increase and decrease involving discounts, tax, tip, etc.
Extra help will be on Wednesdays from 7:45-8:15
Pre-Algebra
This week we are finishing up our solving equations chapter. We have covered, equations involving 2 steps, multi-steps, and fractions. Last week were solving equations with variables on both sides, writing and solving algebraic equations from word problems, and consecutive integer word problems. This week we will be transforming literal equations and reviewing for our unit test.
Friday, 11/18- Unit Test on Solving Equations
Extra Help is Wednesday, from 7:45- 8: 15.
Algebra
This week we will begin chapter 6. This chapter focuses on solving systems of equations using graphing, substitution, and elimination methods. We will eventually apply these skills to word problems.
