READING- Unit 1 test on Thursday, 11/3. Review the following:

  • Recognition of capital and lower case letters
  • Recognition of the words, the, I, and, like.
  • Identify the sounds “m” and “s” at the beginning of words.
  • Identify rhymimg words.
  • Listen to a story passage and answer questions about the story.

MATH- The class will model ways to make 8 and 9 using two sided counters. In addition we will count sets of 8 and 9 and write each number correctly on lines. Chapter 3 is almost complete, and a test will be given next Wednesday, 11/9. Ways to help your child review will be sent home on Thursday of this week.

RELIGION- We will review the concept God keeps His promises and discuss the birth of Isaac.

SCIENCE- Our topic is that all living things need water, space and shelter.

SOCIAL STUDIES- Our focus will be learning about the presidential election and voting.

REMINDERS:

  • Reading test on Thursday, 11/3.
  • No school on Friday, 11/4.
  • There will be homework on Thursday, even though we have no school on Friday.
