Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. There are many exciting things happening in the month of October. Last week we had our farm trip. The children, teachers, and parents had a wonderful day there and we are ready to learn all about the farm.
Jesus Time: We are continuing to learn many Jesus songs. This week all the classes attended chapel. They learned that Jesus is with them all the time. In class we are learning about Baptism.
Math: Our number this week is the number 5. We will practice writing the numeral five in our handwriting books. We are reviewing all the shapes and focusing on the oval.
Art: Painting at the easel has been really fun! This week the children will choose a tall or short pumpkin. Next, they will use red and yellow to create orange pumpkins.
Literature: Some books we will read include Pigs by Gail Gibbons, and the Three Little Pigs which is a folklore.
Letters and Sounds: Our morning message has been reinforcing the days of the week, the weather, and something that is going in our school day. Each child gets a chance to read the message aloud.
Soon each child will have a chance to take our class book home. Please enjoy this special time with your child.
