Math Grade 6
We will begin the school year identifying integers and their opposites, comparing and ordering integers, and exploring absolute value. A review sheet for the quiz will be completed in class and sent home as a study guide. Later this week, we will be exploring rational numbers.

Math Grade 7
This year we are beginning with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers. We will review the rules for performing these operations when the signs are the same and when they are different.

Pre-Algebra
We will begin the year exploring rational and irrational numbers. Students will be able to find the square roots of both rational and irrational numbers and then classify them accordingly. They will use this to approximate square roots.

Algebra
We will begin the year reviewing foundations for algebra. Students will reviewing the following: how to write and evaluate algebraic expressions, properties of real numbers, distributive property, combining like terms, and solving 1 and 2-step equations. We will also be solving literal equations.
Test, Wednesday, 9/21- Chapter 2 Solving Equations, consecutive integer problems, literal equations.
Extra help is by appointment.
