We are beginning to get into the swing of things…..
ELA: Reading: We are taking the beginning of the year ELA assessment. We are reading a book titled: How To Be A Better Person In Just Three Days. It’s a light hearted account of one boy’s attempt to better himself by doing certain things to his outside when he realizes he can better himself through what he has inside.
Writing: We will be creating bio poems.
Math: ch 1 PLace Value, Multiplication, and Expressions. There is math homework every evening. Test Wed.9/28
Science: Scientific method. We are making pizza box solar ovens and baking smores in them
S.S. Ch. 1 Peopling the Western Hemisphere: No test
Biblr: We have been talking about what God says about respect. Verse test Wed.John 15:12. Workbook: What is God’s Word?
As the school year begins and the students and I go over the rules and what is appropriate in our school and classroom I am reiminded of these verses;
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control .Gal. 5;22-23
