Greetings, and welcome to a new week here at Trinity. First, 8th grade permission slips for the trip to Six Flags are due today. If you have not returned the slips, please do so as soon as possible. Here are the plans for the rest of the week.

8th Social Studies

This week we will be studying the events of World War II and how the U.S. was involved in the war effort. This will likely be the last unit of study before we begin reviewing for finals.

7th Social Studies

This week seventh grade will be taking their chapter test on the Era of Thomas Jefferson, Chapter 9. The test will be on Thursday and the study guide may be viewed here. The last unit we will study will be on the Industrial Revolution and how it created cultural and economic differences between the north and south. This will lead into the starting point for 8th grade social studies, the Civil War.

8th Pre-Algebra

This week we will continue looking at angle-line relationships in Module 11. This too will likely be the last unit before reviewing for finals.

8th Religion/Social Emotional Learning

In Religion this week, we are reviewing Unit 4, which has primarily covered life under the Kings of Israel. From there we will study the prophets of the Old Testament. The test will be on Wednesday. In S.E.L., the students will be assigned to read about Habit 2 in the 7 Habits book.
