Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:

Spelling- The words for this week are: her, fern, girl, sir, stir, bird, fur, hurt, turn, third. The spelling test will be this Tuesday, 4/5.
The new words for lesson 23 will be: look, book, good, hook, brook, took, foot, shook, wood, hood, again, father, house, together. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework Wednesday night. They should write 8 sentences, due by Friday.

Phonics- controlled vowels: er, ir, ur

Reading: We will continue to read the story, Amazing Animals. The Reading tests will be given this Tuesday.

We will then start Lesson 23 and the tests will be given next Tuesday. The story is Whistle for Willie.

Math- 3D shapes; Test on chapter 11 this Thursday-practice test on Wednesday

Science- food chains; review for test Thursday, 4/7

Social Studies- Unit 4- Economics: All about work

Weekly Reader- Animals that lay eggs

Our testing schedule for spelling and reading has changed for the next 2 weeks, and we will be having tests on Tuesdays until Spring Break.

The Citizen of the Month for Honesty is Ben!

Remind your child to complete all work in his/her neatest handwriting.

Book order forms went home last week. You can order books online at Scholastic.com or send your order form and check to school by this Wednesday.

Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday at noon!
