Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!

Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!

Spelling- The words for this week are: that, the, this, them, with, bath. The “R” book words are: blue, cold, far, little, live, their, water, where. The children will write their words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 3 sentences by Wednesday. The test will be on Friday.

Phonics- digraph th
adding -s and-es
-ed and -ing endings

Language Arts- proper nouns

Reading: We will read the story At Home in the Ocean. The children will read it again at home. There will be Reading tests on Friday. The children should know what the labels in the story tell, and all the details about each animal. There are 2 parts to the phonics test. The first part is th words and the second part is -ed,
-ing, -s, and -es endings.

Math- related facts, equal/not equal

Science- How animals are protected

Social Studies- communities

1AA News

Our Star of the Week is Nicolette!

The citizen of the month is SKYLAR!

Tuesday 12/1- We will be going to the Santa Shop which is set up in our school for the students to buy inexpensive Christmas gifts for family members. An envelope was sent home last week and should be returned tomorrow if your child will be buying gifts.

Thursday 12/3- The children in K-2 will be going to the Bellmore theater to see a live performance of “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. We will be back in time for lunch.

Reminder: No lunches will be served on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to a new oven being installed. Please remember to send lunch with your child on those days.

Send in your child’s pizza money by Thursday morning.
