Please be reminded that ECC does not have school on Friday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 11. Friday we have a professional conference day and Wednesday is Veterans Day.

This week in class we are finishing up our color unit. Thank you to all who contributed to our color snacks! Next week we should be sending home our completed color books. Please enjoy them with your child and at the same time review the colors. We will also begin our color review with our color wheels.

Science: We experimented by mixing blue + red using finger-paints and colored water. We discovered that if we mix these two colors we end up with purple! Some of us also used a magnifying glass to look at gourds and leaves. We are observing the signs of the season. Most of the leaves  on the playground have changed colors and have fallen to the ground.

Language Arts: Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson, Run, Turkey, Run by Diane Mayr and Giant Jam Sandwich by John Vernon Lord. We are learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds associated with those letters using our alphabet chart.

Math: Counting the cornucopia and our classmates.

Art: Color purple for our color book, finish our creation book , chef hat, finger paint blue+red= purple and stamp purple grapes with a marshmallow.

Jesus Time: Chapel this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are starting to discuss things for which we are thankful in preparation of Thanksgiving.

Movement to Music: Fall leaves, seasons sons,  and what a miracle.

Gross Motor Play: We are enjoying this warm weather as we play on the playground with our chalk , trucks and balls.
