It’s easy being green in nursery school this week!

We learned about all things green and also how blue + yellow = green! We got to experiment with mixing colors by mixing blue and yellow play dough to make green, and by mixing blue and yellow water to make green water! We even got to finger paint with blue and yellow paint to make green. It was amazing!

We read stories such as Go Away Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberley, and as a response to literature, we made our own green monsters. We also read Little Blue, Little Yellow by Leo Lionni, I Love Colors by Hans Wilhelm, and White Rabbit’s Color Book by Alan Baker.

For Jesus time this week, we got to visit the chapel and Mrs. Funfgeld taught us that Jesus’ love never, ever, ever changes! Jesus loves us! We are also continuing to talk about Creation and all of the amazing things God has made. We are also working on a Creation coloring book.

Some of our favorite music and movement songs this week have been The Spooky Walk, and The Rhythm Band where we get to play real instruments!

We have also been practicing our colors with a fun matching game on the SMART table.
