It is YELLOW week! We had Curious George as a  special visitor to our classrooms this week. He was a curious little monkey and set off to explore our whole school leaving a banana trail for us to follow. We searched high and low for George.  He was not in  the front office, the cafeteria, the gym, the computer lab or the library. We finally found him back in our classroom with a bunch of bananas, which we ate for snack!

This week we are:

Language Arts:  Reading many Curious George books, such as Curious George Rides A Bike and Curious George Goes To A Chocolate Factory both by H.A. Rey. Alphabet Center- we learn about the letters of the alphabet and their sounds. We also play a memory game with pictures of things that start with certain letters.

Art: We made a Curious George face with cheerio eyes! We also are making a yellow sun with our hand-prints. We will be starting our orange day pumpkin creations.

Jesus Time: We are learning about creation. God made the plants and animals.

Math: We count our friends, bananas and pumpkins. We will be working on our favorite farm animal picture graph.

Movement to Music: Spooky Walk, Five Little Pumpkins, Yellow Marshmallow, Seasons Song and Walking to the ABCs.
