READING- Lesson 20 is a review of Reading words and concepts in Unit 4. Refer to the sheet sent home last week for all high frequency and decodable words to study. In addition, practice blending using long and short vowel sounds for “i” as in “nice” and “pig,” also practice beginning and ending hard “g,” “d,” and “r” sounds, review antonyms, (opposites), and synonyms, (words that have the same or almost the same meaning i.e. “large”/”big,”) and verbs in the past, present and future tense. Our Unit 4 test will be Tuesday, 5/19.
MATH- Chapter 9 is now complete. Papers from our chapter will be sent home tomorrow for you to use to help your child study for our test on Thursday, 5/14.
RELIGION- We will continue to discuss ascention.
SCIENCE- Our discussions will focus on seeds.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Our topic is “needs and wants.”
HANDWRITING- We will practice writing capital and lower case “O-o.”
JOURNAL- “I like Spring” will be written in our Journal along with a Spring picture.
