Welcome Back to ELA!
My name is Mrs. Llanos and I am thrilled to be back at Trinity for my first full year of teaching here.
This week, now that all of our getting to know you stuff is aside, we will begin our Benchmark testing. This test will consist of multiple choice questions based on reading comprehension and an essay. Students can not “prepare” for this test being that it is a benchmark and I am using this as a resource to assess each student’s current ability.
After that, we will begin a three week long unit using short stories to familiarize ourselves with Literary Elements. The first element we will focus on is Characterization.
