It’s hard to believe that it’s March and we are approaching the end of our second trimester!
This is a short week of school so we will be doing some different academic activities to practice skills that we’ve already learned. The class is excited about our March projects, beginning with our research of the history of women’s basketball starting this week.
WEEK: March 2-6
SPELLING: no regular Spelling this week
READING: Small group reading of short stories; questions and answer, story maps, mini-tests
GRAMMAR: review previous grammar lessons
WRITING: History of basketball
MATH: Test on Chapter 7
SOCIAL STUDIES: Women’s History project
SCIENCE: Mini lesson, “How do germs get inside your body?”
RELIGION: daily devotions, books of the Bible assignment due Thursday
TESTS THIS WEEK:
- Thursday – Math, Chapter 7
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- There is no school for students on Friday, 3/13 due to a Professional Development Day for teachers.
- Please see emails and notes sent home from Mrs. Forte regarding next week’s St. Patrick’s Day snack. Students will be able to wear green to school that day.
- Our 7 Habits of Happy Kids continues this week with Habit #6, “Synergize – Together is Better.”
