The 4th graders completed their winter weather unit just in time for the coldest days of the year!  I hope everyone is staying warm at home.

We have been having tests just about every week.  We are in the second trimester and things move along a little as faster as we go through the school year.  Now is a good time for you to be reminding your children about good study habits.  In class we discussed that when written homework is done, the next question should be, “Do I have any tests this week that I can prepare for?”  Reviewing notes, rereading stories, and practicing math skills is also part of doing homework.  Throughout our lessons and learning time, it’s so important for students to ask questions to clarify anything that they don’t understand.  I have been encouraging students to try to achieve their personal best this trimester.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Friday, 2/5,  is my annual 4th Grade Superbowl “Party.”  I look forward to this event every year and I’m happy to say, I can still host it even with our new remote component!  We will spend the day doing activities that cross all the curriculums and are related to the game of football.  Each year kids are surprised at how much fun they have even if they don’t know a thing about the game.  Look for a note posted on Google Classroom on Friday, detailing the events of the day!
