Important Information
We have a full week of learning in front of us! Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately to go outside during recess. Additionally, this is a great time to replenish pencils and other supplies. Quite a few children do not have pencils, and I am beginning to run low on my supply. Please check with your child.
Next Monday, January 16, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will be off from school to honor him.
On Sunday, January 29th, the class will be singing during the 10:45 church service. Please mark your calendar. The children should be dressed in their school uniforms. Mr. DeVries and I will meet the children in the music room at 10:30. After the service, please pick up your child from the music room. I’m looking forward to hearing the children sing in front of the congregation.

Science: In this lesson, students discover why dogs’ expressions, like tail wagging, are so useful when living in a pack. In the activity, Field Journal, students watch videos of different animals that live in groups to simulate observing them in their natural habitats. They discuss and record their observations, and construct an explanation of how living in groups helps these animals survive.
Religion: We are focusing on acknowledging our own sin and need for a Savior. We thank God for using the Law to show us our sin and to comfort us with the Gospel assurance that we are forgiven in Christ. And finally we thank and praise God for giving us faith in Christ Jesus and keeping us in it.
