Important Information

We have a full week of learning in front of us! Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately to go outside during recess. Additionally, this is a great time to replenish pencils and other supplies. Quite a few children do not have pencils, and I am beginning to run low on my supply. Please check with your child.

Next Monday, January 15, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will be off from school to honor him.

On Sunday, January 28th, the class will be singing during the 9:00 church service. Please mark your calendar. The children should be dressed in their school uniforms. Mr. DeVries and I will meet the children in the music room at 8:45. After the service, please pick up your child from the music room. I’m looking forward to hearing the children sing in front of the congregation.

In the activity, Dinosaur Detectives, students compare the traits of dinosaur fossils with the traits of modern animals in order to help a paleoartist draw a dinosaur as accurately as possible.

Social Studies: We are going to be learning about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. We will be completing a webquest on our computers.
